Part Time Grounds Maintenance

Copper Hill Golf Club is excited to announce the opportunity of part-time grounds maintenance staff for the 2024 season.   Qualified candidates will operate  in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

Key Responsibilities of Grounds Maintenance

  • Performs general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment
  • Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
  • Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
  • Operate mid-size mowing equipment
  • Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
  • Involved with tasks related to course detail (debris clean up).
  • Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
  • Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
  • Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
  • Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for Grounds Maintenance

  • Must have a valid driver's license and transportation

Position is available starting late April to early May and is 20 to 30 hours per week.   Experience preferred but will train.

$16 - $17 per hour depending on experience
Free Golf (minimum of 25 hours per week)

COVID-19 Guidelines for Junior Golf

  1. Copper Hill Golf Academy will closely follow and monitor all CDC guidelines related to youth-specific activities and sports/camp-related policies.
  2. Copper Hill Golf Academy program staff, participants and any family members must not be or have been sick within the past 14-days. Any staff member or participant who does not comply will not be allowed at programs until the 14-day minimum has been reached.
  3. All staff and children are required to be screened for any observable illness, including cough or respiratory distress, and to confirm temperature below 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Screening includes assessing health by taking temperature.
  4. Parents will be asked to take their child’s temperature upon arrival. Staff or children who have a temperature greater than 100 degrees are not permitted into the program.
  5. Group sizes are limited to 8 children. Total number of groups onsite not to exceed two (two groups = 16 children). Each group will have the same coach and the same group of participants for the duration of the program. Groups are not allowed to mix/intermingle.
  6. Participants within each group must be socially distanced by a minimum of six feet for the duration of the program.
  7. If a child becomes ill or develops an elevated temperature at camp, the child will be moved to a designated area at least 15 feet away from other participants. Parents will immediately be notified to pick up their child.
  8. Staff must always use a face covering for the duration of the program.
  9. Programs will be run outdoors where possible with indoor locations being approved based on strict gathering size limits according to facility size. If a program is indoors, check-in/check-out procedures should happen outside.
  10. No contact check-in/check-out – Parents will check in their child from 6-feet away verbally acknowledging child’s name for attendance purposes stating any special notes regarding allergies, approved pick-up contacts, health concerns, etc. Participant belongings shall be spaced six feet apart.
  11. First meeting parent orientation – Shall be conducted outside with parents following social distancing guidelines.
  12. Modified roster document – Roster packet will include: Program information, attendance sheet with child information and parent contact details, participant notes, staff/immediate family 14-day no sickness acknowledgment, participant/immediate family 14-day no-sickness acknowledgment (verbally communicated/acknowledged)

Golf Course Open

New Guidelines as of Wed June 17 

  **  Maintain social distance of at least 6 feet at all times over the entire property including parking and practice areas
     **  Respect of social distancing applies not only to fellow players but also to golf course employees
     **  Payments and transactions are best made online or by phone 860-653-6191, however we now allow 1 player at a time in the pro shop with a mask. 
         We are now allowing cash and credit card transactions, we also accept Venmo for the time being.
     **  Restaurant and bathroom facilities are open, one person at a time.
     **  There are no more restrictions on the flag stick.
     ** two players may ride in a cart if they are a) living under the same roof or b) have a mask
    ** REQUESTS for INDIVIDUAL CARTS are space available only and subject to a $5 upcharge
     **  All carts will sanitized after use, and will not be put onto the golf course until this is completed
    **  rakes and benches are now on the course
     **  Water coolers and ball washers  are NOT on the course
     **  players waiting to play should not congregate, maintain social distancing at all times
    **  please call 860-653-6191 before arriving at course 
     **  If you do not feel well - STAY HOME!
Footgolf Course Open - kids welcome!
   **  Players must bring their own balls - no rentals
    **   One ball per player
    **  Same rules - no touching flagstick

Other options : we will provide  4  9 Hole Rounds with Cart  for  $20  (valued at $104), or 4   18 Hole Rounds with cart for $35 (valued at $148)

These 2 options will be purchased through our online store, and do not require you to fill out the form on this page, the purchase will provide your receipt.
