PGA Junior Golf Academy

Introduce, develop and support. These are the goals that we strive at our junior golf academy. Copper Hill golf programs emphasize fun, while recognizing that to increase the fun, fundamentals have to be and will be addressed. We have a large 'toolbox' of skills building games that are a blast to play and teach technique and strategy below the surface. Golf necessary to enjoy this great game at whatever level they want to take it to - social, recreational, or serious.

Golf Camps are available in 3 programs: Entry Level, Sport Level, Player Level.

All players 9-13 and under (younger with permission) are eligible to participate in the PGA Junior Golf League TRAVEL TEAM (9-14 in Spring)

Choose the level based on the junior's age, experience, or an optional free assessment.

While the emphasis is always on fun, we have the knowledge and instruments behind the scenes if we need them. There is a computerized putting analysis system (tomi.com) and an indoor/outdoor simulator which helps our students to graphically learn what causes errant shots.

The new program will help juniors to learn golf, but enjoy the process. The Junior Golf Academy at Copper Hill will focus on the following:

  • Fitness for Golf (and sport in general)
  • Golf Skills
  • Sportsmanship, Etiquette and Rules
  • Golf Course and 'Near Golf' Experiences
  • Assessments - How am I doing?

Each of the above areas will be addressed in each of our programs at age and skill appropriate levels. Each player will have an assessment (optional) to give them the direction necessary to know where to improve.

In addition to the information that is provided to the kids, there will be a parent resource to help parents better understand the motivation behind our programs and to help parents be in the best position for the development of their golfer.

New tees have been installed at Copper Hill Golf Club that will allow juniors to tackle the golf course at a length appropriate for their age / experience / skill level. These are marked with orange tee markers.
