CHGA Junior
Golf Camps are the backbone
of our junior golf programs. The program consists of four or five days, from 9:00
am to 3:30pm, with just the right mix of instruction and golf course time.
2008 marks the first year that we have scheduled 5 day camps. Typically the morning session each day is at Copper Hill Golf
Academy and will consist of a session on full swing training and
a session on an aspect of short game, either putting, chipping,
pitching or bunker. Often times there are skill building short game contests
Lunch is each day at approximately 11:30, while at lunch golf related videos are shown, or there is rules/etiquette discussion. The juniors go onto the golf course each day beginning at about 12:15, and will play a different tournament format each day. The final day of the junior golf camp is our "Final Tournament" where the juniors play for trophies and prizes. Price of the program includes lunch and greens fees each day. Age requirement : 9-16

How
do I register? To register online, please click the "Register Online" tab at the top of this pagee, or you can request an enrollment form. Enrollment forms are
available in one of three ways : Does my child need equipment to participate? Yes. If you do not currently have equipment,
we rent junior sets (all sizes) for the week for an additional $15
charge. Please call or check our online store as we have many options.
It is important that the clubs are fit to your child, an improper
fit will make for a frustrating experience. Where can I purchase junior golf equipment? You can purchase golf equipment through
Copper Hill Golf Academy at any of our locations or online at www.copperhillgolf.com in our opinion the time invested in choosing the right golf clubs
is easily as important as the time invested in learning to play. What should my child bring with him/her to the program? We recommend a water bottle, a hat, sunscreen,
and a positive attitude. Lunch is provided each day with the Junior
Camp. Balls and tees for use on the golf course are available
at the Academy or in our online store. Can I request that my child plays with a certain group of friends? We can insure that students attending the camp together will be in the same group for the instruction, and will play together on the golf course at least once, but most likely not each time. Junior Golf Camp Refund Policy We reserve the right to cancel any session
within fifteen (15) days of the first day of that session. In such
an event, you will be provided the option of rescheduling on a priority
basis or receiving a full refund. Partial refunds will be given according
to the following schedule: (I) more than thirty (30) days before the
first day of the session, one hundred (100%) of the fee; (II) between
thirty (30) and fifteen (15) days before the first day of the session,
eighty-five percent (85%) of the fee. No refunds will be given for
cancellations received within fourteen (14) days of the first day
of the session. Rescheduling (within a 12 month period) is permitted
without fee. Name changes are permitted at any time, without fee Junior Golf Camps can have up to 16 students with 2 instructors, or 21 students with 3 instructors. For instruction, the groups will be chosen by age. For afternoon play, the groups will be chosen by age and ability in an effort to keep team tournaments fair. Who is in charge of the program? Paul Banks, PGA Professional and owner of Copper Hill Golf Academy, and staff, will be in charge of the program. Players will be dropped off at the Copper Hill Golf Academy & Driving Range at 37 Griffin Road by 9:00 each day. Players will be picked at The Fox Run at Copper Hill golf course across the street at approximately 3:30. The camp will take place in light or medium rain, hot, cold, and wind, but will not take place if there is a threat of thunder or lightning in the area or heavy rain. If one of the days of the camp is cancelled, we will make up that day on Friday of that week. Can I drop my child off early to warm up on the range before the camp? There are range balls available for purchase before the camp, and players can arrive as early as 8:30. Can my child stay after the camp and practice or play? Yes, but they do so at their own risk and expense, and they will be unsupervised.
